BreadPot Signature Series

Ceramic Baking Dish

Created by Judith Motzkin
Judith Motzkin designed the BreadPot--"because I needed one"-- for baking a well shaped loaf using the popular no knead method. Anyone can make beautiful, crusty brick oven bread at home.

For baking, the pot is heated, empty, to 500 degrees. Prepared dough is placed into the hot BreadPot and baked in the oven. The handles on sides and top are designed for safety and style and are integrated into the body of the pot. The Signature Series has a recipe and/or quote under the lid or on top.

The sturdy stoneware clay is wheel thrown and fired, unglazed, to 2350F. There is no glaze, no lead. The color is the actual clay color and the BreadPot will develop a patina with use. Care and use instructions are available and will be included. Each piece is unique. Clay color and inscription will vary from pot to pot, as shown in the additional images.
