Comments about Ginkgo Bowl:

Beautiful and well made. Each bowl is unique, but the leaves are always carefully and thoughtfully placed. (The bowls all look good even though they're not all the same.) The black is a glossy black. The bowls coordinate well with any glossy black tableware.

Love the carved surface and the high contrast design reminds me of wood block prints. It's a beautiful bowl for a very good price.

    Comments about Ginkgo Bowl:

Beautiful item and workmanship, I love the way it goes with the other pieces I selected, and would love to see in addition either some plain (or simpler) glazed black and/or beige serving pieces (plates, etc., maybe with just one tiny bit of pattern, etc.) which would go with these amazing mix & match sgraffito pieces from Jennifer Falter that would work together.

    Comments about Ginkgo Bowl:

Beautifully carved, well-made. I am a potter myself and like to collect others' works. Will be displaying it in my dining room with my own bowls and pieces by other artists.

    Photos don't do it justice.

    Comments about Ginkgo Bowl:

The phrase, "Pictures don't do it justice," fits here. The glossiness of the black doesn't show in the online photos. The leaves are very much in motion – blown by the wind.

If you're cautious of the phrase, "Size and design may vary slightly," don't worry here. Each piece is unique. But in all the pieces (I've bought several) the leaves are pleasingly spaced and arranged.

Ms. Falter's pieces co-ordinate well with glossy, solid black tableware which is readily available and affordable.
