Blue Nina Plate
Created by Catherine Satterlee
With its classic chain motif and rich thick cobalt blue glaze, this plate looks like it could have emerged from the temple of a pharaoh. The design was carved into the clay while it was still moist. Because the glaze is matte rather than shiny, it is not food safe. It can be hung on a wall, displayed on a plate stand, or placed on the coffee table or credenza as a catchall.
