Sculptural ceramics are made of white earthenware clay, fired to cone 04 and are made by a technique of altering wheel thrown shapes. Then additions of hand built shapes are attached to form legs, tail and other details. The sculpting of the features are done entirely by hand, using modest tools. Surface decoration is achieved when textural marks are infusive with layering of engobes, slip, and glaze. Additions of wire, found objects and plastic animal eyes may be added.
