This striking hand-built ashes urn resonants an ancient modernistic quality. The hand-carved design on the outside is done while the clay is still bone dry giving it a distressed and stone like appearance. The textured form on top of the lid adds an eternal quality. The high-fired black under-glazed stain highlights the nuances of the surface. Weighs about 4.5 pounds.
