Rowing the Nile

This piece was created using textured slab construction in a spontaneous manner. Its form evolved into a vertical pedestal glazed in a very soft appearing seafood green. The edges of the textures have a golden hue, emphasizing the texture portions. The top reminded the aritist of forms you might see in the early Nile region. It makes a great focal point.
