Dragonfly Teapot

Wheel-thrown porcelain tea with hand-carved and sculpted dragonfly motif. Hand-modeled leaves on hand-carved handle. Airbrushed matte glazes are fired to maturity in an oxidation kiln. Sculptural teapot is for display only. Signed and dated.

The artist often has dragonflies come into her studio while she works. This year a very large and angry beauty got trapped next to a window, and it was her pleasure to rescue the dragonfly and set it free unharmed.
