Ceramic Raku Vessel, Naked Raku Firing 5
Ceramic Vessel
Created by
Natalya Sevastyanova
Inspired by nature and the beauty found there, this unglazed ceramic sculpture is detailed with a striking and dramatic pattern of resist slip, which shrinks and flakes off in the naked raku firing process, leaving only a crackle design behind.
The gently rounded work has an asymmetrical silhouette, and the neck flows in an undulating curve to the flared opening.
