Naked Raku Vessel with Orange Brushwork III
Ceramic Vessel
Created by
Frank Nemick
The distinctive patterning indicative of naked raku firing covers this striking wheel-thrown stoneware vessel. Brushstrokes of orange add soft color, and layers of hand-polished terra sigillata are applied to the exterior, giving the piece a smooth, satiny sheen.
No waxes or lacquers are applied to the surface, so it should be handled carefully to avoid staining. Decorative use only; not suitable for use with liquids.
