Ceramic Wall Sculpture

These free-form tiles are hand built and decorated while still wet using the mocha diffusion technique. They also have raised contour areas that create depth in the tiles. The artist applies other colored clay in a liquid state that absorbs directly into the tiles. They are then dried and fired in her gas reduction kiln. The emphasis on the tiles' flowing shapes creates a dramatic impact for one's decor. The frame is invisible on these pieces, which allows the work to speak for itself. The tiles are mounted on a wood frame with industrial strength epoxy for easy hanging.
