Mounted Multicolored Ceramic Wall Art VI
Ceramic Wall Sculpture
Created by Jean Elton
After being cast, this ceramic sculpture is fired once to approximately 1800 degrees F and then hand decorated by the artist, using underglazes applied with fine-tipped bottles. The piece emerges from the final firing which requires approximately 2100 degrees F to take the work to its final form: a lightweight (about 13 pounds), purely decorative work of mounted ceramic art. Mounted on a cold-rolled steel sheet with a mildly distressed surface and half-inch folds at the edges for depth, the piece is approximately one inch deep. Comes ready to hang with picture wire.
