Ceramic Wall Sculpture

(ID: A89922)
Created by Kristi Sloniger
One of a Kind
These free-form tiles are hand built and decorated while still wet using the mocha diffusion technique. The artist applies other colored clay in a liquid state that absorbs directly into the tile. They are then dried and fired in her gas reduction kiln. The tiles are mounted on a wood frame with industrial strength epoxy for easy hanging. With this work the background frame is very subtle and lets the work "float" on the wall. The middle of the triptych has a deeper wood frame to give it more extension from the wall.

Please note that measurements are for the complete triptych as shown.
