Palouse Wheat

Color Photograph

Created by Terry Thompson
The rolling hills of the Palouse Prairie in southeastern Washington State is thought to be the second largest naturally irrigated wheat-growing region in the world. The yellow sections of canola make for a vivid contrast with the green wheat. Thompson captured this iconic agricultural image on medium format film, created a high-resolution scan, and printed it on a double-weight archival cotton rag paper with pigment inks. This image is in a limited edition of 25 with only 22 prints remaining. It is titled, numbered, and signed below the image.
