Oversized Cloisonne Enamel Ring

Enameled Ring

(ID: A89969)
Created by Jan Van Diver
Modern statement ring was created with vitreous (kiln fired) enamel and fine silver cloisonne. Glossy opaque black and white enamel is accented with a classic midcentury chartreuse and transparent bright turquoise enamel over textured silver underlay which creates some sparkle. It is bezel set as a gem and is mounted onto a sleek and substantial sterling silver double band. The enamel jewel measures 1.3 inches in diameter. Ring shank is slightly less than 1/4 inch wide which provides good stability for the large enamel jewel and is comfortable to wear.

This ring has an integrated inner band which allows for custom comfort fitting. It is shown at about a 6-1/2 but can accommodate infinite sizing between sizes 6-9. Sizing will be done before shipping, please specify below.

If custom ordering you have the option of a non adjusting shank size.

Cloisonne is labor intensive. It begins with the designing, then forming ribbon like precious metal wires followed by painstakingly packing thin layers of enamel and firing in kiln each time. After this the piece is hand finished and finally set into a hand fabricated piece to wear. Any hand fabricated cloisonne enamel takes many many hours of intense work but the result is a jewel that only true kiln fired glass (enamel) can achieve.
