Draped Eames Bowl in Black

Fiber Bowl

(ID: A68043)
Created by Josh Urso
Classic Eames fabric is treated with resin and transformed into a charming decorative bowl in this design. The fabric is the iconic Charles and Ray Eames Small Dot Pattern, woven to create interest on both sides. The inside of the bowl is black on a warm gray field while the underside of the bowl is warm gray on a black field. The piece combines mid century modern cool with a contemporary aesthetic.

The lightweight bowl appears to be a piece of fabric draped over a bowl when in reality, the fabric IS the bowl. The resin impregnation process hardens the fabric into form. Dimensions are overall dimensions.

This piece is not food safe. This piece is not dishwasher safe. Clean with warm, soapy water.

Comments about Draped Eames Bowl in Black:

This is a novel and clever use of a well-known Eames fabric pattern. I enjoy displaying it in my home and getting reactions from guests - many of whom recognize the pattern even if they cannot remember where they have seen it before.
