Fiber Wall Hanging
Created by Joan Schulze
This quilt is part of an on-going series of drawings on silk. The lines and images are direct prints using the photocopier. The drawings are based on quilted lines found on the backs of earlier quilts. They are recombined and changed to create a 'toner drawing'. The quilt can be hung with a rod through a placket sewn on the back of the quilt. If preferred, Velcro can be sewn to the back. It is easy to care for but as with any artwork, should not be installed in full sun. Some collectors have chosen to frame these drawings under plexiglas.
