Fiber Wall Hanging

This piece was created in light and soft watercolor-like colors depicting a group of sleepy owls surrounded by blooming dogwood. Cotton, silk and polyester fabrics, commercial and hand-dyed by the artist. Pieced, appliqued, embroidered and quilted, then accentuated with acrylic paints, including some metallics. Hanging sleeves are sewn to the back of the quilt along the top and bottom sides. Wooden slats coated with clear polyurethane included. Ships rolled.
