Evening Shimmer III

From the artist's series "Study of Evening Gardens". Colors changing to become more saturated and dramatic, reflecting the warmth of sunset sky. Tension grows as we admire the beauty of the moment that is about to disappear in the dark. Artist used techniques such as piecing, applique, quilting, and painting. Hand-dyed printed matte cottons and lustrous silks enhanced with metallic fabric paints. Wrapped over wooden stretcher bars with wiring added to the back, ready to hang.
