Finally Spring

This piece features spring flowers in light and fresh colors of garden that is awakening to life. The top is done entirely in silk: hand-dyed pieces of matte and lustrous silk were appliqued onto vintage tapestry weaved from silk and metallic threads that has been lightly painted. Cotton batting. Ships rolled, hanging bars included (wooden slats coated with polyurethane for preservation purposes are inserted in the sleeves sewn to the back, along the top and the bottom sides).
