Giclee print of an original mixed-media piece. Inspiration comes to the artist from ordinary experiences that give pleasure; this from a view of a bird in a palm tree in Mexico. Sterrett combines her photographic images with painterly effect to reflect the feel of her experience. She is not interested in recreating exactly what she sees, but rather to reflect and expand on her visual experiences by using collage, texture, and color. Working with mixed media allows the artist to add expressive visual elements.
