A limited edition on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper using archival inks. The original is an oil on canvas.
The Pantanal is a vast region of grasslands and wetlands in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul. Portrayed, is a pair of Hyacinth macaws, the gentle giants of the macaw species. The goal was to contrast playful intimacy with the black threat of those massive beaks. In this tight portrait, the viewer is invited to complete the image beyond the frame. Prints are signed and numbered on the bottom margin. Limited edition of 200 per size. Dimensions listed refer to image size. There is a 1'' border around the small and medium sizes and a 2'' border around the large. Paper size is 17''H x 14.5''W. Image size is 15''H x 12.5''W.
