Gold, SIlver & Glass Earrings
Created by Nina Mann
Created by using a torch to heat successive layers of metal to nearly melting while maintaining just enough control to create subtle patterns in the metal. The metal is repeatedly cleaned and rolled through a mill during this process until the desired surface texture is achieved. During fabrication, gold filings and small granules of gold and silver are fused to the surface. A small oval cut from ancient Roman glass is held in place against the edge of the earring using 18k gold clips. The posts are 18k gold.
