Exquisitely detailed hieroglyphs adorn these 18k gold and matte lapis earrings. The enigmatic symbols were first carved into wax, then cast in 18k gold. The lapis drop is detachable, permitting one to wear the circle of gold alone or with other drops from the artist's collection. Likewise, the lapis drop may be worn with other earrings. Long valued for its ancient belief of protecting the wearer from the evil eye, the lapis is completely natural, a soft matte color with tiny flecks of gold pyrite. It is not dyed or enhanced in any way.
