Artists and Revolutionaries

"I design with the modern, self-aware woman in mind."

John-Michael Schlotter, of Artists and Revolutionaries, designs with an architectural, Japanese aesthetic, creating minimalistic pieces that make an impact.

Small batch and made by hand, Schlotter's pieces are crafted from natural fabrics that require gentle, easy care and involve a zero-waste production process—an eco-conscious mind-set that's core to Artists and Revolutionaries' identity. All styles are size-free and body positive.

Under the watch of his mother and grandmother—both seamstresses—Schlotter began sewing in elementary school. He attended Parsons Paris on a painting scholarship, but ultimately turned his eye to fashion. Schlotter designs and creates all of his pieces in the Hudson Valley in New York.
