A composition of two columbines and foliage in an appealing mix of texture and movement. The colors of the flowers and foliage are created by cut paper shapes collaged in a technique called 'chine colle'. The chine colle process is an old technique of collaging to a base sheet and then overprinting with an etching or relief print such as woodcut or linoleum block. The base sheet is heavy and archival white paper. This particular artwork is a linocut. Each is signed on the reverse, and is one of a kind in a square format. Image size is 16x16".
