Goat Head

Metal Sculpture

(ID: A8332)
This charismatic goat head is made with recycled farm machinery and reclaimed wood. The metal used for the head is thick steel from weathered farm machinery. The head pattern is hand drawn on the metal with soapstone and cut with a hand held plasma cutter. The shapes are then hand hammered and arc welded together to form the head. The head is mounted on a recycled corn planter disk. The horns are cut from a large block of wood and shaped by hand.

This goat head is sealed with a water-based enamel. It can be hung inside or out. Each head will have subtle variations. They are cut by hand and each piece of metal has slight color differences.

It can be hung with a nail or screw.

Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. If outdoors, you can maintain a shiny metal look [entirely optional] by applying a clear metal enamel, available in a spray can at your local hardware store.

Comments about Goat Head:

This fun Goat Head was gift to myself. I was on a trip to Alaska and saw these fun sculptures and asked about the artist. Happy to see them online so I could purchase one at the Divine Time. The sculptures spoke to my heart honoring my connection to the animal kingdom. One of my dear friends named Wisdom is a goat. I wanted to honor our symbiotic relationship with him teaching me something empowering about life and visa versa. When I look at the sculpture I remember the important life lesson Wisdom shared with me. I enjoy keeping decor light hearted and connected to what I truly love. The best part is it is made out of recycled farm equipment and wood. This is a dream of mine to live on a farm which is coming true. Inspiration, Inspiration, Inspiration
