Seashell Luvlamp

This is a mood lamp. It is a beautiful sculpture by day and creates an ambience at night. This is functional art at its most inventive level. Rogers draws a unique design onto each piece of metal. She then gives life to the drawing by painting the drawing with acid resistant paint. The painted metal artwork now goes to Joe Jacob to be submerged in acid to leave the art in high relief. The paint is removed and the metal artwork is finished with saws, files, and buffing. The rarity of this metal is what makes this lamp valuable. Pennsylvania Black Walnut Base.
