Large Elk Head
Metal Wall Sculpture
Created by Ben Gatski and Kate Gatski
This large elk head is created entirely from reclaimed metal. The metal used for the head is thick weathered steel. The pattern is hand drawn on the metal with soapstone and cut with a hand held plasma cutter. The shapes are then arc welded together to form the head. The antlers are made shiny with a hand held grinder. The head is painted with milk paint and mounted on a recycled corn planter disk.
