A Matter of Time and Space
Metal Wall Clock
Created by Mary Ann Owen and Malcolm Owen
An out of this world, one of a kind wall clock that will be a truly unique accent for your wall. The clock face is hand formed and hammered copper, 7" in diameter. The surface of the face has the hills and valleys of a moon landscape. Numbers are indicated with lava spheres and agate/druzy beads. The surrounding composition is light and ethereal with a variety of brass, copper and lava spheres, and brass rings with a total of 24 tiny cast sterling silver figures. Numerous moonstone, amethyst, constructed opal, and cubic zirconium grace the clock creating a playful sparkle. Once the piece was hand formed and soldered together, the patina of sulfurated potash was applied to achieve the dark finish. The clock was then highlighted in certain areas, then waxed to produce a permanent finish. After, the stones were set or glued in place. The clock runs on a smooth, quiet, continuous sweep movement. AA battery is included and need to be changed once a year.
