Abstract Nature 2

"Abstract Nature 2", comprised of two 4" x 24" pieces and a 4" x 32" piece, is created out of sheets of pewter, copper and gold colored aluminum. The metals are manually rolled through an etching press several times layered with petals, seeds, leaves and wildflowers. Each pass through the press allows for the layering in of the background, comprised of petals, and additional textures. After being embossed, the metals are rubbed with black paint, and various inks, and preserved with a museum grade wax. Torch-fired enameled copper tiles play a central role in the composition. The completed work is mounted upon a black wood frame, 1.5" in depth and is ready to hang. These pieces require little care, perhaps a light dusting with a soft, dry cloth, if needed. The natural materials used in this process do break down over time, and other comparable materials substituted. Your triptych may vary in appearance from the triptych pictured. Every effort will be given to creating a triptych as similar to the piece shown as possible. The center piece measures 4" x 32" x 1.5". The outer pieces both measure 4" x 24" x 1.5".
