The Girl in the Bubble

Oil Painting

Created by Jean-Paul Aboudib
Oil on panel, panel is warp resistant, formaldehyde free, museum quality high density fiber board. it is prepared with a PH neutral acrylic ground lightly textured for sufficient mechanical bonding.

The artist uses a combination of indirect and alla prima painting to compose the piece. He then varnishes with one coat of conservation picture varnish to saturate and protect the surface from dust particles and volatile organic compounds. The painting panels are thoroughly braced with a 13 ply Baltic birch ply wood. The paintings are signed either on the lower right or left corners and are wired for hanging. To clean, simply dust the surface lightly with a micro fiber cloth or feather duster.

The intentions behind this painting was to illustrate the tranquility and psychological disassociation from one's environment. Aboudib wanted to convey the contentment of a woman who is at complete peace with the notion of self.
