Created by Bonnie Lambert
A transmission tower reflects the last afternoon glow. Lambert is a cityscape oil painter in love with intense color and deep contrast. The fluid light, dramatic vistas, stark landscapes and energized urban neighborhoods of Los Angeles provide endless inspiration for her work. She paints with a vibrant palette and expressive brushstrokes to share her vision of an essence of the urban experience. Why does she like painting transmission towers? She is drawn to the tension between nature and the hand-of-man. She askes the viewer to observe situations so common that we are unconscious to them, to see places and objects in a new light, and to consider that they are rich in meaning and even beautiful. The Interloper is an original oil painting on gallery-wrapped canvas with painted sides. Artist-signed on the lower front.
