This abstract gestural work is from a series of black and white acrylic paintings first done as an exercise to explore shapes and contrasting gray tone values. The enjoyment of the exercise soon became a regular part of the artist's practice. In this particular work on paper, she played with the addition of a magenta oil crayon on the 90 lb. acid-free paper. Signed on back in pencil.
