Photographic Wall Sculpture
Created by John Maggiotto
Unique, 16 marble tiles with photo emulsion. Hung on four rails, shipped with the piece. Does not need a frame, marbles are 3/8" thick and hang 3/8" from wall. Photo silver emulsion is applied by hand in the darkroom and the pieces are exposed to the camera negative in the traditional archival method for black and white development. Museum cleats are bonded to the reverse to match rails. Each tile weighs about four pounds, three screws support each rail.
