Olive Branch Stonewashed Silk Crepe de Chine Scarf
One of a Kind
This luxurious botanical print stone-washed silk crepe de chine scarf is dyed with natural plant-based dyes of weld, logwood, and gall nuts, then printed with catalpa and prunus leaves from the artist's own garden as well as locally sourced eucalyptus leaves, resulting in a beautiful pattern of nature's colors and marks on an olive green background. This process of contact printing leaves onto fabric allows the leaf materials to combine with the natural dyes, releasing the plant's color and shapes onto the fabric.
This 16.5mm heavier weight of silk Crepe de Chine is stone (sand) washed resulting in a matte silk with a very soft, luxurious drape and a buttery suede feel.
