Red Madder Pattern Stonewashed Silk Crepe de Chine Scarf
One of a Kind
This luxurious botanical print stone-washed silk crepe de chine scarf is dyed with a natural plant-based madder dye, then printed with smokebush and prunus leaves from the artist's own garden, resulting in a beautiful pattern of nature's colors and marks on a rust red background. This process of contact printing leaves onto fabric allows the leaf materials to combine with the natural dyes, releasing the plant's color and shapes onto the fabric.
This 16.5mm heavier weight of silk Crepe de Chine is stone (sand) washed resulting in a matte silk with a very soft, luxurious drape and a buttery suede feel.
