Comments about Etymology Earrings, Ear Wires shown:

The general design first attracted me, then looking closer I saw the moth pattern. I like jewelry that is personal to me. These will remind me of a summer a couple of years ago. At our log cabin in northern WI, worms came streaming down from the trees on silky strings. We had a Gypsy moth invasion. They made stiff cocoons that were difficult to scrape off in every nook and cranny. If left there to hatch they would return to the same trees, lay eggs, and we'd have the problem all over again. Phil Pellitteri from UW Entomology lab provided the method of removal and we provided the elbow grease. This story now joins others about adventures at the cabin.Thank you to the artist Dawn Estrin.
