Bailey in 08F

Silver & Polymer Clay Earrings

(ID: A44709)
Created by Sue Savage
Colorful, whimsical one-of-a-kind art to wear influenced by the 17th-century Japanese technique, Mokume-gane. Savage starts with hand mixed colors to build the final palette then adds in detail with pen and ink. Always a bit funky sparked by the serendipitous results of the process.

Bailey is riveted to a rhodium plated pewter backing with a sterling silver tube rivet, then laced with 14K gold-filled wire and embellished with fine quality natural stones or Swarovski crystal. Ear wires are sterling silver and the over all length is 1.25".

No pair will be alike and your art pieces will be uniquely your own. Variations to expect are in the exact colors of the art pieces. They all will be created using the shown color pallet, but variations are to be expected.

    Comments about Bailey in 08F:

I've used Artful Home for specially crafted gift items in the past. I have not yet been disappointed, though I of course I am ultimately relying on the recipients' feedback as the final word on customer satisfaction. In this case, the recipient said she liked the design very much, in part because it's different from all her other earrings. For me, the idea of an artist individually crafting an item after it is ordered, as opposed to machines mass-producing them for commercial distribution is a compelling concept. The entire experience would have been perfect had the item not taken longer than I was originally led to believe, so it came late for a birthday. Just a minor quibble. I will certainly go back to Artful Home, unless prices just become out of reach.
