One of a Kind
During her preparations for a recent art show, the artist began to think about how women's body images become distorted by fashion magazines and popular culture. The painting depicts how we often cannot truly see ourselves. The artist's watercolor paintings are busy, active works, revealing very few smooth washes. She prefers to paint fast and loose, letting blossoms and imperfections add to the energy of the painting. This 13 x 20 inch watercolor on Arches cold pressed paper is double matted with a dark gray outer mat.
