Maple Burl Natural Edge Bowl, Carved Legs
Created by Steve Noggle
This bowl was turned from the burl growing on the side of a red maple, a common Southern hardwood. The natural edge of this bowl includes the bark and the extra wood that was left on the bottom of the bowl after turning which was hand carved and sanded forming the three feet. The bowl is perfect for a display piece. A wipe on poly finish preserves the wood. It can be cleaned with a damp sponge and dried with a soft cloth.
