Birds On Branch
Created by Paul Sumner
Evoking rustic, folk-art charm, three hand-carved white pine birds perch on a natural, deadfall beech branch that has been kiln-dried. Birds are painted black, layered with color, then sanded to expose the black undercoat. Branch is painted black, then scraped and finished with paste wax, and attached to a base of western red cedar. Birds sit on wires in the branch and may be posed in different positions as desired. Each piece is unique; natural branch will vary.
