Figured Myrtle Sculptural Form
Created by Eric Reeves
This figured Myrtle hollow form has been give vertical dimension with a fixed finial lid of African blackwood, Ziricote, as well as a small ring of Myrtle. The effect is to create a wood sculpture, combining two superb woods that are complementary in color. The figure of the Myrtle is particularly fine, while the Blackwood is characteristically the perfect detail wood. The Ziricote functions as a transitional wood from Myrtle to Blackwood.
