Chiles 33

An original woodcut, printed over chine colle papers that are adhered with archival paste to a base sheet of white heavy paper. Each paper used in the process is acid free as well as the ink and the paste. The chine colle process is an old technique of collaging to a base sheet and then overprinting with an etching or relief print such as woodcut. The technique is challenging and has been developed over the course of 4 years concentration in my studio. Care should be taken to keep the woodcut print flat in storing, shipping or the framing process.
