An original woodcut, printed over chine colle'd papers that are adhered with Japanese paste to a base sheet of BFK 210 lb. paper. Each paper used is acid free as well as the ink and the Nori paste. The paper on the chiles is either Japanese or handprinted by the artist. The chine colle process is an old technique of collaging to a base sheet and then overprinting with an etching or relief print such as woodcut. The technique is challenging and has been developed over the course of 4 years concentration in the artist's studio. There is a small amount of hand coloring with watercolor (yellow).Care should be taken to keep the woodcut print flat in storing, shipping or the framing process.
