Albert Goldreich Pottery
Albert's fascination for clay began in 1975 while living in South Africa. The reason he became a potter is because of it's therapeutic benefits. When creating his designs he escapes from reality and becomes one with the piece he is creating. Being able to mold a beautiful pot from clay using his imagination completely fascinates him.
His technique includes hand building, and throwing on the potter's wheel. He is inspired by his African heritage which includes vivid textured designs, overlaid with unusual techniques of glaze application. The greatest influence in his craft is nature.
His training began in 1975 under the well known South African potter, Digby Hoets. After that he was completely self-taught and attended many workshops to better his craft by Tom Coleman, and other American, Canadian, and Korean potters.
