The top and bottom sections are decorated in a vivid red, the middle section remains bare and is adorned with bold markings, black and white decals, and a detail of red glaze. The entire piece is rubbed with dark oxides to accent impressed textures. Each vessel is fired twice, first to temper the clay for glazing, and a second firing to over 2300F. The inside of the vessel is fully glazed, will hold water, and can be used as a vase. The sturdy hand tied rattan handle is approximately 11\" wide on this piece.
