Heidi Daub

"My paintings evolve from an introspection, coming out of an awareness, a sense. This remembering, this stilling is where I go in my creative work. By opening to this reception, I am attempting to find color, form, and movement to express what we cannot describe, but we feel; like the divine, the deep forest place, water's essence, or the complexity and simplicity of love. "

Heidi Daub was raised near the meeting waters of the Susquehanna and Chenango Rivers, and in her late teens, she was drawn to the North Atlantic coast, graduating from Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts. Residing and working in Maine, she exhibits her paintings in solo and group shows throughout New England. Also a curator and collaborator, Daub reflects in her art her involvement in various artistic disciplines and her reverence for the natural world. She has produced two publications of her paintings and poems: Eve of a New Round (2008) and the artist catalog Pieces of Prayer (2015). Her work is housed internationally in private and corporate collections.
