Coming from an industrial design background, Shuang Feng designs jewelry pieces with dynamic, three-dimensional forms and comfortable wearability. Her designs are a continuous dialogue between abstraction and space. Most of Feng's designs are inspired by nature; however, she is able to distill this essence and apply it to elemental structures.
Shuang Feng is interested in three-dimensional printing, which enables designs that cannot be done by hand. The work is later hand finished carefully by Feng. She also uses colored gemstones as an element to accentuate her designs.
After high school, Shuang Feng spent the next four years studying industrial design in China. She graduated in 2010 with a bachelor of science. After two years, she went to Canada and started jewelry fabrication and design courses at Ontario College of Art and Design University.
