Ken Reinhard

"I believe that simplicity is the essence of good design and that a successful design allows the materials to reveal their best faces in service to the human form. "

Ken Reinhard grew up in a small Midwestern town where furniture making was the prominent industry. He apprenticed in the design department of DUNBAR, a renowned manufacturer of contemporary furniture. Reinhard's passion for beautiful materials coupled with world-class craftsmanship has led to the creation of this furniture collection.

Each piece is handcrafted using the finest materials. The wood is mahogany, the marble is imported from Italy, the leather inserts are made of gold foil stamped by hand, and the printing blocks are resin cast from original hand-carved Japanese printing blocks dating back to the 9th century. Prints on rice paper are made one at a time using the actual printing blocks.

Ken Reinhard has a degree from Kendall College of Art and Design with an emphasis in furniture design and a degree from Michigan State University with a major in industrial design.
