Michael Trimpol's work explores the nature of the glass. He feels a particular love for glass in its molten state, and he channels that love into the creation of objects of beauty and originality; vases, perfume bottles, and more.

Michael works with glass using traditional techniques, gathering and blowing the molten glass until each piece achieves the balance and harmony he is striving for. He often incorporates processes such as cold working, sandblasting and/or cutting and polishing in order to accentuate or focus on characteristics of the material.

Stunning piece
I have this vase sitting in the middle of my terra cotta table in a kitchen painted sunflower yellow. The shock of lime and yellow intersecting medium-to-royal blue and vibrant purple are nothing short of spectacular. The vase should be profiled in an area where there's either natural or direct sunlight to really show off the colors - it won't show as well in a darkened area of your home. The narrow neck is beneficial for not needing that many flowers to show well, particularly if they are in hues of yellow, orange, red or pink. Though heavy, the design of the vase is such that it could be knocked over, so ensure it's in a place that's not around "little hands."
